Having entered the film and television industry over 8 years ago, Kartika has worked extensively with many production houses and closely with known names of the industry. An alumnus of the Lady Shriram College, Kartika went on to do her Masters in Film and Television Production from the University of Bristol, UK. During her stint in Bristol, she worked on issues ranging from the empowerment of women and repressed communities, human trafficking, solar energy and many more. Upon her return, Kartika worked on creating content for various television channels and directing many of these shows. Some of the projects completely shaped by her include Blender’s Pride Fashion Tour for Star World, World’s Best Bartender for TLC and Rocky and Mayur’s Food Xpress for Zee Living Foodz, amongst others. Two of the documentaries helmed by her, titled, Silent Screams – Freedom to Love and Undercover Asia – Girls for Sale, won the Bronze World Medal for ‘Current Affairs and Human Concerns’ and the Gold World Medal for the ‘best investigative documentary’ respectively at New York International Film and Television Awards. Currently, Kartika is creating visual content for clients like NGC Traveller, The Indian Army, DineOut, Ford, Dettol, Nestle, Havmor and ScoopWhoop to name a few.
